Famous Blackjack Players
Blackjack being the popular game that it is, there have been quite a couple of men and women gamblers who have made a name for themselves playing the game over time. The blackjack game has grown into tournaments that people compete in to win big stakes, especially in the gambling capital, Las Vegas. A lot of the big-time blackjack players have been winning these tournaments in succession and have authored books on the game. Among them are:
Stanford Wong – the “Godfather of Blackjack” whose name is in the Blackjack and Video Poker Halls of Fame; wrote the celebrated book, Casino Tournament Strategy
Micky Rosa and M.I.T. Mike – did a thesis on blackjack and was featured in The New York Times' Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas For Millions; M.I.T. Mike was the 2004 champion of the World Series of Blackjack tournament
Regina Guzior – though blind, she is known as one of the best female blackjack players in the United States
Ken Einiger – the 2005 champion of the World Series of Blackjack tournament; wrote a book on blackjack entitled Play to Win and hosts a radio show called “Be In Action”
Anthony Curtis – one of the most acknowledged gambling experts, he is the author of the bestselling books, Bargain City - Booking, Betting, and Beating the New Las Vegas, and The Art of Gambling Through The Ages
